MP3 FILES

A digitally compressed audio file format that enables CD quality audio to be used on the internet in manageable file sizes. All the downloadable music on this site is in this format.
"MEDIA PLAYER DOES NOT SUPPROT THIS FORMAT" If you get this message in windows Media Player or whatever multimedia software you are using, make sure it supprts the MP3 format. Go to the options/preferences section select all the available formats, making sure it does actually have a box to check for MP3. If it does not supprt MP3 download latest release of Windows Media Player from Microsoft.
STREAMING Streaming is when your audio player starts to play the MP3 file as soon as it has downloaded enough of the file to act as a buffer. This avoids a lot of tedious waiting and tea making. Windows Media Player supports this so get hold of a copy. Download latest release of Windows Media Player from Microsoft.
STOP/START AUDIO WHEN STREAMING Unless you have a fast connection, it is likely that the audio will not always be downloaded fast enough to keep up with the playback and you will get gaps in the play back. If this happens do nothing. Be patient, wait for the entire file to download, then press play on you media player. It will now play perfectly from the cache on your computer.
COMPRESSED
WAVE FILES
A PC format which enables audio to be greatly compressed. All the automatic audio loops on this site are in this format. They should play perfectly on Macs and PCs when Windows Media Player is installed.
CODECS In Windows these are what your Media player needs to decompress compreessed wave files. If you get a "codec not installed" message when a page loads, try installing the latest version of Windows Media Player. Download latest release of Windows Media Player from Microsoft.
